Description
Diamond is known as the representative of the planet Venus which is considered the brightest after the Sun and the Moon in the universe. In Hindu mythology, Venus or Shukra is the teacher of the demons and was considered as the Minister among the nine planets of our solar system. In folklore it is further believed that Lord Shiva imparted the knowledge of infusing life to the dead (Mrityusanjivini Vidya) to Shukra. Venus is also considered especially significant in mantras and medicine tantra, the casting of spells, hypnotism, mesmerism and alchemy. All the colours of Venus are revealed through its gemstone diamond or heera which is well known for its twinkling sparkle and lustre and rightly called the king of gems.
